ABOUT Bamboo Bicycle Club

Bamboo Bicycle Club empower people to build their own bikes. Founded in London, they've grown into a global community that champions innovative and sustainable cycling.

We selected bamboo for bike construction because it's accessible and suitable. Like timber, bamboo is readily available and easy to craft with simple tools, making it perfect for quick, DIY bike building. It absorbs road vibrations better than other materials, offers excellent strength, and has a natural aerodynamic shape. Additionally, bamboo captures CO2 as it grows, storing carbon as you ride.
