Slow Painting Studio x Colour of Saying

Join colour researchers and painters Slow Painting StudioOla Ignasiak and Karolina Gebka and Laura Perryman from Colour of Saying to learn how to harness food waste to create inspiring artists inks.

Plants, from cell, stem to foliage never cease to amaze. As part of their approach to colour, the duo will demonstrate the enriching practice of colour observation and transformation using pH-responsiveness to shift colours, yielding magic shades in simple and inspiring ways.

Come play and incorporate food waste into art materials teaching ourselves to be resourceful and creative, and in turn less impactful. Participants will make a series of colour swatches as a take away.

We look forward to welcoming you! Ticket price includes refreshments.

This workshop is part of Ethical Colour a series of participatory events and exhibition open over 4 days for London Design Festival, 2024 as part of The William Morris Design Line supported by Waltham Forest.

Ethical Colour combines circular thinking and emerging regenerative colour innovations to reveal and inspire new nuances of meaning responding resolutely to social, environmental and planetary change.
